I wrote them and this is what I got:

"The contest is canceled due to the low responce from players. We decided to reward players in ladder for future."

So, yes, another bait and switch. Things don't go to plan for them so they take it out on us. I wish their worst crime was that they don't use spell check when they communicate with us, but the broken promises are really starting to piss me off!!

They got what they wanted, a handful of us filling their forums with content, and they didn't have to pay a dime for it. They only had to create a forum post then laugh as they removed it.

Joke's on us, guys!

What puppet strings will the masters pull next time to make us all dance and do their bidding? A broken ladder system (we all know it will be)? A promise to give us a diamond-level card and gold if we refer somebody (oh, wait, they already took that away)?

The forums just started taking off..

And there is over 2 weeks left from the date they said it would end. Whatever I guess lol.

Even if the response was pretty low, at least there was one. We all started discussing this game recently and I remember there being almost zero posts in here when I made my first post.

Should still have the contest IMO.. Its not much to them to give diamonds away. It only promotes more play. Strange

I agree. It isn't even the cost of diamonds, it is the loss of trust with users like us. They hold out a carrot, we do our part to achieve it, then they put it away. It was the same way with the referral program (tell all your friends about it, and we'll give you gold and a diamond card when they sign up. Oh, never mind, but thanks for your 22 referrals).

It just comes down to me not trusting momostorm anymore. After this, who is going to be excited to hop on board when they have a contest or they ask us to help them grow their game again?

Momostorm is nothing but broken promises and bait n' switch tactics. I've already told my 22 referrals to stay away until management gets their s*** together and they start recognizing the importance of their loyal users.

Hi Prodigy, are they not giving out any rewards for referrals either?
I'm not too happy about the competition being cancelled as I was planning to enter.
As you said, it's a breach of trust. They could've at least given to the prize to whoever had entered initially.
I might message them on this

I feel its way worse to end it, without notice I might add. Then to give out the prizes to 'sub-par' results in their mind.

Same! James Peng (I think he is the owner) doesn't value the games' fan base and what the power of trust and open communication with us could bring to the game.

I've written him a number of times and he had no love for his customers, and it shows in every response I get from him.

Sad to hear this because I started posting here thinking the contest would get me something and that this game would improve T.T
