java.io.EOFExcetion

Post by RFreedom2 »

So... pretty much my last 8 match attempts I have experienced the above error (7x on Ladder, 1x on 100 coin bet). Out of the 7 times this message was prompted on Ladder, 4 of them were actual matches. Needless to say, I restarted ECB after "killing" the program on task manager and noted the little box that says "view" on the "match history".

Good news: I saved all four matches (with timer all below 20 seconds left)

Bad news: Some bad decisions were made, so I went 50/50

So is anyone else getting as much java.io.EOFException message as I am? It's making the game almost unplayable for me lately (last two days).

I get that often when the traffic is bad. (game becomes unplayable for the night or at least a couple hours) Lost at least a couple thousand dp by not being able to select cards before timeout..
Whats annoying is if you get consecutive Exception errors when you know you already have a duel going on. >_<

yeah, the game is pretty much unplayable to me right now. I tried both pro and quick modes, either way the java.io.EOFExcetion pops up after the searching match / loading screen runs for around 4 seconds, whether it is on Ladder of 100 coin bet matches.

Maybe I should uninstall / reinstall and see what happens, BUT (hey ECB :| ) will my game's progress and cards be restored after reinstalling? I am assuming that my cards, cards enhancement progress, and game/quest progress is stored NOT locally on my phone, but you have a record of it? :o

Of course you could reinstall it. Player progress is saved on server. You could login your account on any game-installed device.

Reinstalling seems to have worked, only got the error around once over 10 matches after reinstalling. :P

Edit: Actually... problem persisted XD
I think it's more of a connection issue, since the error comes up again when I try running through 4G, BUT it was okay earlier since I was using internet pass-thru. :o

Edit 2: Blah..... still getting the error message when I run the game using internet pass-thru (yes, the game is unplayable for me now).

I have this error too like all the time. Even when I am connected via wifi.
I sometimes have to retry as much as 20 times before I can finally start a battle.
