Okay to sum up this thread, allow me to shine some light on different perspectives:
1) with $100, you can buy an epic card pack and have a decent amount of diamonds left over. I was able to buy 5 "Dominating" packs and have some diamonds left over for VIP upgrades. So you have a total of 65 cards (1 epic, handfuls of legends, and a ton of diamond and gold cards) and a VIP upgrade.
2) With the same amount, you can buy 11,000 rubies, 2 legend packs, and have 51 diamonds left over. (Those rubies can enhance cards to the point of them becoming amazingly strong)
3) With the same amount, you can buy 16 "Dominating" Packs for a grand total of 160 cards and have lots of legends to use. Also, if you have any extras, legends can be sacrificed for a good amount of rubies.
I did not regret buying the epic pack as I got a decent card: Orochi. For those of you who got Phoenix as their epic, my condolences as it is by far the most squishy and weak of the epics.
Basically, if you want to have some fun and decide NOT to play card loots battle then you're better off buying just a couple "Dominating" packs to up your arsenal.
HOWEVER, I think the price of an epic pack is WAY TOO HIGH when looking at perspective #3 as a lvl 40 legend can go toe to toe with a lvl 30 epic when you a have a decently set-up deck.
Is the epic card pack worth getting?

Also, be selective in where you spend your Rubies IMO.
Im kinda focused on Ladder right now, and honesly theres probably only 8-10 cards I will use in Ladder. So these are where most my Rubies are at. On the same note, I also play buncha other stuff (probably too much ;0 ) but condensing Rubies into 6-12 Cards intead of 20 that are lvl 5-10 may benefit you more.
Do as you wish obviously. Just my thoughts.

I was planning on maxing out the cards that I use in nearly all my decksPennFifteen wrote:Also, be selective in where you spend your Rubies IMO.

However when comparing with other hit epic: slayer, god father, lord...Phoenix is still weak for an epic level card. Although it can get attack boost, it is too weak and usually can attack for one round after rebirth. Also, chaos attack type brings uncertainty which is not easy to control and predict the battle.
