Do you go all out in ladder mode?!

Let me clarify things from my vague title. Of course we all do our best in ladder but what I meant was "Do you play until you have no energy left to duel?"

So far for me, I'm stuck in the mid 30 ranges and everytime I attempt to move up, I fight ridiculously well-thought decks that destroy me. And then in the end, I'm at -500+ DP. Therefore, I only play if my rank goes down a few over a night to maintain that 26-50 range rather than risking it all and end up back in the 250+ rank. (Yeah, I lost so badly I went from 35 to 250 something before. Luckily I caught back up)

I guess in the next ladder season I'll go all out because I'll be more prepared with more cards upgraded and stuff. Right now, my level 1 cards don't have a prayer against level 40 legends, level 30 epics, etc.

EDIT: The deck I use is the same deck I use in practice and gold bet matches and it has by far, the most wins to losses out of all the decks I use with some variations for pro mode. So it's not like my tactic is lacking but the overall strength of the cards is not up to where it should be.

I'm really struggling in the ladder but I'm aiming just to stay in the top 100. My cards are just not up to par with top players. I think as long as your winning ratio is >50% it's worth it as you gain more DP than u lose because of the extra points u get from energy. It's always easier to climb back up when ur rank has dropped as you have less to lose and more to gain. I think the crucial part is the last few days before end of round.

To me, it seems like DP is almost solely based on the enemy's deck CAP. If you win against a guy with just silvers and gold, you gain about 50 or so DP. Now win against a deck with some diamonds or even legends and epics. You get at least 100+ DP for that match alone. Likewise, if you lose with a very high deck CAP, you lose more DP. I tested this with my druid deck + bear warrior compared to my main deck comprised fully of legends.

Taking a -500 ish DP hit can be disheartening lol. Ive seen too many. And like Winstonz said, the lower you go the more you will win your next matches. I fell 1K plus DP in 2 matches, then the next 3 or 4 I gained it back. Kinda luck of the draw as well.

As far as going all out? yeah I usually do. Im able to play alot so I do.. and I usually go through all my energy in a day. HAving a full friends list is key, Im sure you do but it definitely helps alot. I also have Gems floating around in case of a bad Loot Battle match so spending 1 or 2 here for more energy is a play Im known to make ;).

I don't, the rewards just don't justify it. I took a couple of days off when I was ranked #50, came back, and I dropped down to #60. I only had ten minutes to play and I lost like three times in a row, and I dropped to rank 100+. I laughed, I did better not playing. The next day I played a few rounds and got back to rank #50.

I'll probably shoot for getting to rank 50 or slightly better, but again, the rewards just don't justify it. It's a good way to practice without losing gold, especially since I really don't care much about the ladder system and their puny "rewards". To me, gold > experience > ladder dp points.

Im doing it for the rubies 10 wins in ladder... (call me a sucker for rubies)

I dont mind the up and down swings... (theoretically) the later you start, the quicker you will gain dp, and then you will normalize within your range just take the ups and down when they come.

The end of month prize is hardly worth the effort.

Its not, at all. I really wish they'd throw us a freakin bone. Just add a zero to all prizes. Problem solved. Giving back to everyone and making shit actually worth it. The people up here have payed a decent amount to this game, and they just sprinkle bird seed at us :|
