Tired of Bear

Anyone thinks the bear is too powerful? It is a sliver card only but is more harder to counter than a diamond card. If you cannot kill it in one round, you probably lose the battle. I give up quick mode because of this card. I think hardcore is fun, but now always see bear as blade shield is suspended.

I wish this card can be adjusted in either way below.
- cap the max damage it deals like Bandit
- slow down the rate it increases attack power
- or reduce the armor as attack power grows

Another card I hate is Dual Daggers Rogue. Elven Fairy is immune to all spells. But rogue seems like immune to all damage! One rogue + one heal + spell cards is lethal. I need to pray my most powerful attack is not dodged. Although
it looks like easier to hit rogue now, the dodge rate is still unreasonably high. It is a sliver card only! I think it is perfectly good if the dodge rate is really 45%.

I know there are ways to counter Bear or Rogue. But that probably does not survive well in normal battle (maybe I am a new player only). It makes no fun in quick / hardcore mode overwhelming with the stupid decks. It should be a strategic game to explore different card combination and make adjustment to your deck according to your opponent. What I see is many players just level up the overpower sliver cards.

I wouldnt get too upset about bear being too strong, its really not that bad. I don't think the devs balance the game on quick mode as that mode is 100% luck as you have no idea what the other opponent has, you can get away with some really nasty builds that would get slaughtered in pro mode. It is very very easy to kill bear in pro mode. I agree in Hardcore mode if the bear survives the 1st match it can steamroll till the end with all the rage its built up but again Hardcore mode is based on a mix of quick and pro mode and it involves an element of luck.

Rouge is much more balanced now in 1.8.

I stopped playing quick mode in disgust at the amount of Poison rain/dual dagger/Thunder gods wrath/path to graveyard builds i would face in a row in 1.7. If the enemy rouge dodged more than once you were dead within 21seconds and i used to see them dodge upto 8times in a row. Now i only see them dodge 2-3 times max and hardly see them in quick mode now.

1.8 is much better now.

1.8 is much better for the 'cheese decks'.

As far as the bear goes btian. Do you have a damage modifier card, such as Slashing Strike or Overpower? They are all silver cards so they can be leveled up easily. They add huge damage to your attacks. I would go with your higher damage melee attacker and throw a Slashing Strike in there. Hopefully it can be enough to take the bear out.

Also something to think about, they will also have heals with them right? Maybe use a Negate Spell or use attackers that are either before 9 or after 9. So all the damage is concentrated around the Heals, not during. If you have a Hero or two, (also great card to level up) use them with SLashing strike. They will attack after the Heals go through and if you have 2 of them they might do the trick.

Dear btian!

I disagree......

I use Bear deck (lvl 48 atm) for ladder about 4 months ago (im in 80-90 in last 3 season).

Standard bear deck must consist heal, bear, (sometime) trigger type card.

This is the first disadvantage, too much type cards necessary!

Max lvl Bear deck very sensitive in medium/high end ladder beacuse:

- If the opponent interrupt my heal my bears dead...

- If the opponent has a good damage spike (after 1.8 it is very easy lol...) my bears cant go strong, dead....

- If the opponent can avoid or mitigate my damage with shield, or kitty, rogue enough time, can easily kill my bears with focus damage spell (TgW, PtG), my bears dead.

- Lot of epip/legend cards do an insane damage in higher lvl (>15), impossible heal my bears against him, result after first turn one of my bear dead, match will lose on second turn....

Bears just got their attack accumulation and hp nerfed.

They didn't need to fix that. The problem with bears is their ability to attack twice almost back to back sometimes. I don't know if is a glitch or what. Everytime bear gets hit his cooldown time goes down 1. Well after you hit 5 second cool down it shouldn't go down any further. (Which it doesn't) Many times after the Bear makes a one shot kill 2 seconds later he makes another surprise attack. Perhaps they should say you cannot go past 6 or 7 second cool down... Idk

There are times (not all the time) where bears attack less then 5 seconds. I have seen it happen several times. I count inbetween sometimes even.

I don't know if it is a glitch or what. Maybe I don't know what I am talking about.

Has anybody else had this experience?

Btw after some more testing 1.8 version I agree with the bear nerf. Bear and summertime are op. I wouldn't be surprised to see another nerf...

its not a glitch, it only seems like it's attacking back to back. If you watch the time counter (instead of counting in your head) you'll see 5 seconds pass. If a bear is on the far left(opp 1st card) it will attack before a 10sec card of yours if it's not your first card.... I know it sounds kind of confusing, maybe some1 else will step in and explain it better.

Bear just get so fast he sometimes "laps" another unit. He may not lap unit again on following attack it's all about time ing

I have seen the timings all off also with other cards.

But I still think until they start matching the battles up more evenly that us little guys need these tricks.

I mean you guys like man city and Chelsea in the EPL spend the big money so you have the say in the game is run so you can dominate?

What ever happened to fair play lol ohh yes city found. Loop hole in that also.
