Many newer or free players have chosen not to play ladder or have tried and quit bc of being very inexperienced and overpowered. This is commonly brought up or mentioned in palringo chat. For this reason low rank ladder players often don't play much if at all or quit altogether. I suggest to ecb to attempt to address this issue. Onr way to possibly address this is by introducing a few ecb_bots into ladder. The bots can be designed to play at similar level or cap to the players but can mainly be for newer or lower ranked players to help them gain confidence in a strong ladder play. If the bots tend to lose a lot and hover around rank 300-500 then they will more often match up with low rank players. Many low rank players struggle to match up with other low rank players because they're not motivated to play and lose gold. This could solve the issue of them losing gold as much, build the confidence, and actually motivate more newer players to play ladder more and gain confidence. The bots can be named gocebot1, gocebot2, and gocebot3 maybe just a few bots where a new players matches up with them something like 25% of the time. Ultimately the goal is to grow the game and I believe the issue of motivating new players into ladder is one to be addressed. Hope you will analyze this ecb or come up with a good alternative.9

Well, since they're using bots in coins bet it shouldn't be a problem to use the same thing in ladder.

I agree only if gocebot1 has all epic cards lvl 50 and fights against top players
