First ladder day

Managed to play my first couple of ladder matches today, lessons learned:
- there are only around 250 people ranked above the starting DP's
- after just a few matches you can be in the 100 and if you do well even in top 50
- don't go into an elevator while selecting your play-cards
- if you do go into an elevator, don't play against someone ranked much lower than you
- PennFifteen is a nice fellow, he doesn't let you lose too badly
- sometimes, not having a chat is perhaps a good thing
- the DP calculation is like magic
- it's not so bad to lose by playing stupidly, but it's great fun to see someone else lose because they played stupidly

Well those are my first impressions, I like the ladder, hate the ladder times (see other post), but all in all better 'a ladder with bad time-slots' than no ladder at all. I'd like it more if there were 5000 people in front of me though.. would show the game is alive.

I Lol'd Nice post. ---- i play stupidly more often than i care to like... im starting to have fun laughing at my own mistakes too. like choosing similar looking cards and asking myself why the heck i just chose a trigger when i wanted a spell and so on :p

----DP is Magic!! I wish they could explain it... Also the timeouts.. I mean I dont think you should lose the same amount of DP for timing out especially if its the elevators fault! :P (unfortunately the game seems to be discriminating against elevators)
