Hardcore often gets a badrape for being pay-to-win, only playable for players with tons of epics/legends, or just simple players spamming the same decks over and over. Thankfully, most of these stereotypes are untrue. It is entirely possible to do well in hardcore as a F2per at any level with a decent sized collection. In order to help players who are struggling with hardcore, I will try and record all of my knowledge and tips in this post.

Opening deck:

Because it is near impossible to predict what your opponent will open with, it can be sometimes be wise to design your opening deck to revolve around the strategy of wearing down your opponents decks, while trying to remain alive as long as possible.
The benefit of this strategy is so that if your opening deck fails to defeat your opponent’s deck opening deck, your incoming deck will be able to safely clear your opponents remaining cards without losing to many cards, which might cause to be unable to defeat your opponent’s remaining decks.
Cards that can hinder your opponent in any way are ones that you want to be considering when implementing this strategy. This could be defense reduction, increasing cooldown counts, preventing opponent’s cards from activating, or making it difficult for your opponent to remove your own cards.
A couple examples are:
Ice elemental
Blizzard
Frost Trap
Trap Detection
Roar of Beasts
Kobold
Poison Rain
Frost Wyrm
Staggering Blow
Shurikens
Damage Immunity
Deterrence

Nice Guide.

And also, the upcoming new mode in v2.0 will be both fair and fun. :D
