Dominate v1.9 w Skeleton Archers

V1.9 introduces new feature for skeleton archer mainly he cannot be killed in first fourteen seconds. Using him however varies depending on which mode you are playing. Here are some tips to use him properly.

PRO mode: level him up to where he has highest attack and lowest go if all units you are using. You may need to use some area attacking units. As your opponents threat and weak units kill him over and over again your area attackers will whittle down opponent. Playing him first has advantage to discourage wrath and path but may give away your strategy as people catch on. Pay players will have trouble using this strategy as many of their units will have too high attacks for this to work or low hp creators.

Quick mode: try him with five spell cards such as blizzard acid rain and best of all energy twister which is only purple card. Solo skeleton with right card will wipe out best of decks out there.

Hardcore: may be a good starting deck that can hang with any pro deck or at least knock it down to nothing for your second deck to come in and clean up. However this deck is likely not ideal for hardcore since skeletons archers ability is so short lived.

General tips: only one skeleton archer is needed. Since he is silver leveling him up is cheap but make sure his hp stays below other units you want to use with him. Lastly don't use this against me.... Or I vill break you ;)

thx bookie for this information but i think this card nerv

i see alot ppl use it now

combo with blade shield is quite powerful .

i think its too stromg ability for a silver card.

how could i counter that ?

Your best counter strategy will be to look closely at what he is playing. If he plays a stronger unit then go with threat attackers. The goal is to save the skeleton archer for last. If he plays lots of area attackers counter with blessing if Mother Earth or if you have nine tail fox that is good purple card. If archer is both weak and threat you need to focus on ability optimized units such as elf sentry and monk - make sure it makes sense though. Area attacking units and chaos units both have benefit of hitting other targets besides skeleton archer. It is ok to hit the skeleton you just don't want to kill it too early or he will get his hp back. 14 seconds usually means everyone has hit it once so just make sure you are not killing it in one round or your guys are all focusing on the wrong target. And don't be afraid to play skeleton archer yourself if he is making all the mistakes we are talking about.

Ok so I have finally started playing some hardcore and everywhere I look I see skeleton archers and spell cards so I thought I'd list some counter strategies for dealing with this. It's true you can play an elven faerie or a sabotage but what if you're not sure when skeleton archer is coming? You may need a backup plan. An effective plan is simple timing such as units that hit in 16s or 17s. This would make you want to consider units of cooldown 8s but there are not many out there that can survive an onslaught of 5 spells. Also chaos units whose second attack occurs at 16 or 17s would be good. I've heard Tauren axe is great but not sure if his second attack hits at 15s or 16s or if you need them to slow you down with a blizzard to get the right timing.

Heal spells like blessing of Mother Earth are a great idea or archangels courage as another alternative. You can use some cd=9 units but put them in the first two slots so they activate before your opponents blizzards. A great one for this is a Jennifer in the one slot or a nine tail. These are both purple cards with good attacks against heavy armor and decent hit points and ability to resist special damage decently which is common with skeleton archers acid and twister. Some good and easy to get free cards to use would be your own skeleton archer, hot ninja, junior sorceress. Depending on how many of these cards you have you may want to put one or two in each deck so you have some good timing units in case of skeleton archers. 7 sec cooldown units may work in instances where your opponent plays blizzard.

A blade shield could be a good idea to try to get his own skeleton archer to kill itslelf before it's spells goes off again. Another great idea is to put in some of your own spells. A chain lightning is great as it can hit two skeleton archers and will go off before their 9sec spells. Wrath and path to grave can work with grave now going off at 16s the second time. Or wrath and chain if you suspect two skeleton archers.

Also consider putting some nature units in your backup decks. Energy twister is common bc of its strength but will only do half damage to nature units. red dragon would be great bc of its high hp but it will have to survive two rounds of spells. This could be another reason for taurens success.

I'm curious to hear what others are doing and have found to work. It may be a good idea to mix a little of some of this in each of your decks for now.

skeleton archer got nerfed in 1.91 and only revives within 12 sec CD...
