Before 1.8 the Hero was my hero card for my second acc Dzver, but now HP is reduced and card is weak :?

I see a lot of low level players pairing high level succubus with blade shields.
Bear & Gargoyle builds can be good too if you pair with summertime.
See alot of cyclops x4 builds too.

But the most common build i get played against me thats really annoying is a blade shield & pit traps when i dont run a heal i find i can kill myself quicker than the enemy players unit cards can.

High level Hero is still good. I use him in ladder a lot

Joker - use frost bolt or treant
Aphrodite - use frost trap, ultimate seal, devils daughter trust me she does pierce and has high but not too high light armored def
Archangel - completely neutralized with a frost bolt COMPLETELY to the point where I don't play this card except rarely in the fifth or sixth slot only
Godfather of demons - devils daughter but make sure you don't play another unit w higher attack like Jennifer or reaper
Phoenix - frost trap works really well bc it resets to 7 max cool down
Orochi - seal of fate. His high pierce attack takes out his unarmored def
Creator - thunder god wrath, hot ninja, centaur, spike, 9 tail fox times two, area attack units and spells
Duke vamp - faerie dragons. Make sure they have lowest hit points of your units to draw the vamp to attack them. Their high def and enchanted armor will keep him at bay
Reaper - kitty or rogues or use two frost hunters and he will never attack


When to use certain low level cards:
Blessing of Mother Earth - don't use when opponent is using lots of weak attack units they will all gang up on one unit. Best when opponent is attacking a variety of your opponents or area attacking.
Kitty - she is good when opponent is using lots of weak attack units they will all gang up on her if she has lowest hit points which can increase the survivability of all your other units esp if she dodges a lot use two in some cases
Apprentice swordsman with slashing strike - when opponent brings a creator, an orzo hi, and a godfather of daemons all at once this combo will slice them all down in one near shot. Very effective anytime your opponent brings three unarmored or light armored units.
Magic overwhelm and slashing strike and pierce card - use for unit that attacks third and fourth bc first two units will often be stopped by traps. A magic overwhelm w a lich is a nasty combo
Archangel courage- I use this when traps and spells don't make sense and combine with blessing of Mother Earth. Sometimes I end with courage and a monk when up against one area attack unit that looks like it will be a problem.
