Three Stars on Quest 5-2 (the 50 second pain in the a$$)

Okay, there is no formula that makes it so that it works out perfectly. You've got to do some trial and error based on the strength of your cards. But the layout is thus:
[Sabotage] [Sabotage] [Unit 1] [Unit 2] [Evil Lich] [Unit 4]
Those sabotages should be a little upgraded. Mine are about level 20, and it still took about 20 tries to get it to work right. The trick is to get it to kill off one or two of the acid rains at the right time. I don't mean stop them, I mean destroy the card, because you need a round or two where you are sabotaging the blizzard.
You also need to be getting hit by the blizzard at the right time. Depending on the position of your cards, you can have the blizzard hit you after you attack, or before. In the end, my first two cards were the sabotages, not my last two cards like I usually do. So, you want the evil lich getting hit by the blizzard BEFORE it can attack.
The timer works out this way:
11 seconds: Lich and Blizzard cooldowns are up, but blizzard attacks first, adding two seconds to lich.
13 seconds: Lich attacks
22 seconds: Blizzard hits again, adding 2 seconds to Lich, who had 2 seconds left.
24 seconds: Lich attacks
33 seconds: Blizzard strikes again. Lich, with 4 seconds left, now goes to 6 seconds.
39 seconds: Lich attacks
[and this is where it gets key]
44 seconds: Blizzard activates, but the sabotages have already wiped out two acid rains by this point, so sabotage stops blizzard from hitting the lich again.
50 seconds: Lich attacks, dealing the final blow.
Make sure Blizzard activates BEFORE Lich, otherwise lich will attack, blizzard will hit, but lich will stay on the 11 second timer. Blizzard must activate FIRST.
So, the sabotages make it so your guys can survive but it also makes it so the blizzard doesn't activate the very last time. So, yes, it all comes down to luck. Once I figured out the math, I had to try about five times before it destroyed two acid rains at the right time AND the Lich finished them off at the 50 second mark. Needless to say, there was much cheering and chest thumping.
I don't have Faerie Dragons or Enchantresses, so I can't attest to if the 7 second timer works one way or the other, and I'm too lazy to see if it would work.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Units that did not work (a lot of trial and error):
Elven Fairy: Yes, the spell cards don't hurt her, but this is actually the problem. You NEED the blizzard slowing her down. Plus, my level 7 Elven Fairy got super-buff and ended up wiping the two bad guys before I even reached 50 seconds.
Joker: I thought this was going to be the secret to this, but the timing never worked. It would attack at 10 seconds, and change into The Crusader. It would get hit by the blizzard the next second, adding one to the cooldown, and would attack again at 26. Even if the blizzard stopped activating at this point, it would hit at 41 seconds then 56 seconds... too far before and after the mark. There is just no way they come into alignment.
Goddess of War: Bottom line, she's too much of a badass, the Crusaders can't stand up to her might. She's like CattyW, ready to slay any enemy before her.
Unicorn: They either can't be hit by the blizzard (which is impossible with only two triggers) or it has to get hit five times (again, impossible, because it only activates four times within 50 seconds).
