Epic Cards Battle

Whats with the sudden increase I see with these Epic cards?
Is there a promotion I don't know about?

Just a few old players own it. (e.g. xmdavis, liduo,evilcruz,56...)
You see it more frequently just because it is buffed in this version. It was not competitive enough in 1.7:P
