Pitfall and Something Sanctuary

I hate these two cards with a passion. They completely render my AoE decks absolutely useless. If the opponent has two or three pitfalls, then its almost guaranteed defeat because my cards (for the majority) have over 30 armor. Even if I put in a trap detection, it doesn't help a lot as I used up a slot just for trap detection when it could be something else like another unit.

As for the other card, I forgot what it was called because before 1.6, I sold all of them. This card activates when there are 4 or more units on the field and has a 75% chance of reducing all incoming attacks to a mere 50 damage. This card just destroys unit-heavy decks as it has literally no cooldown whatsoever.

Agreed about the new trap cards - there are too many available now and they all basically do the same thing. I'm referring to:

Pit Trap
Freeze Trap
Abyss
Some other card released in 1.6 that does basically the same thing

There is absolutely no way to avoid all of these without sacrificing the efficacy of the deck. I really hope the effects of at least two of these cards will be changed to something more creative in future updates.

James maybe dont always use your AOE deck?

It could be from lack of cards on your part, but if you are unwilling to change it up you will keep running into these problems ;)

Even if I didn't use an AoE deck and the opponent is able to negate 50% of my attacks while being able to destroy my cards fairly quickly then I would still run into the same problem.
It's not a lack of cards but maybe I haven't found a way to counter them yet. (I have all cards except for most legends and epics)

See this is what I run: 4 master druids + bear warrior + archangel's courage. Normally this would devastate any deck with proper protection but by stopping 3 master druids and only have to worry about 2 cards, the game ends pretty quick.

Now let's say I change that up completely and run 6 non AoE units. Still have half my deck negated if their armor is over 30 and throwing in a trap detection doesn't help as you sacrifice a unit slot to negate one pitfall.

And I NEVER like running with units with <30 armor as most of the cards out there are very, VERY nasty.

I would appreciate it if someone could come up with a deck I can test to counter this situation. (The only legends I have are succubus queen, 2x jennifer, vengeance, energy twister, and chain lightning. From diamond down, I have everything else.)

I like pitfall for all the reasons above, but I only use 1 and sometimes 2. It gets amusing when there is double trap detection and such.

I guess they gonna nerf pitfall too, just like they nerfed my other fav cards

Honestly, I think it just requires a bit more CD time that's all.

Just My two cents:


None of the traps are completely imba in my opinion.

Each of the traps have their own problems and way around.
almost Nobody will go to an open queue with 2-3 pitfalls because there are so many "all out" decks which hardly run any armor ... -- Emphasis on ***Aphrodite*** if they run 2 pitfalls and you only run one card with 30 armor.. thats leaves 2 wasted slots on their part.

As for aoe decks, Have you tried succubus? theyre not completely bad even post nerf. They practically laugh and dodge the pitfalls.

The one trap im particularly hating right now is abyss (but even that card has its own problems --- for low hp +spell decks)

I think only pit trap need one more CD and its fine.
The ultimate Seal**** card is totally useless, long CD weak dmg, i think need a big buff for this card(If an enemy unit with a max ATK 500 or more activates, it will not attack this round and takes dmg caused by 50% of its own ATK 11 sec CD!!!)

Ugh! I hate Abyss. And I sold all of mine right before they got boosted pre-patch. I wish I had a few. :(
