An Interesting Trend

So I've noticed an interesting trend lately... spell cards aren't ever used any more. It's all unit cards and triggers. And it's the same trigger, too... that damn abyss card!!

In the last patch, a lot of spell cards got nerfed, and it seems like they aren't used anymore. Heck, the daily prize was an epic spell card, and I've only seen it played three times, none of them in card loot or ladder battle mode.

Am I the only one noticing this?

I noticed it too - all units got HP boosts so spells became much less effective. I really, really, REALLY dislike the traps as they:
- Are all unimaginative copies of Pit Trap
- Are severely overpowered

Abyss in particular is a pain in the a$$. I really hope this gets a cooldown of 10 in the next patch, or its ability changed completely.

The other reason spells aren't used as much is that they aren't hidden on pro mode. It would be great to do this and simply label them "Spell" or "Trigger." Slightly nerfing Magic Overwhelm would also be necessary to encourage their use.

Magic Overwhelm already got nerfed, I don't think it is the source of hesitation in using it. I think it is because of the extreme boost in HP and a reduction of utility from most of the spells.

I see an Abyss nerf coming for two reasons: 1) it is obviously overpowered and 2) I finally got one. Expect a nerf in 3...2...1...

@ Pr0digy: Spells need a boost :p and since you have abyss --- its definitely getting nerfed!
