So far, I'm liking this more than I dislike it. Here are my thoughts:
New Dynasty Rising Faction
Meh. Nobody cares.
Upgrade cards to level 50
Crap! Now I have to spend more money to remain competitive. What I don’t like about this is that you nerfed the upgraded values on a few of the cards to justify going to level 50. I thought 40 was too high. This clearly benefits people willing to buy diamonds.
I’ll be honest, this makes me question me sticking around. I’ll need to drop a few hundred bucks to stay relevant in this game, and I now question if I want to. This is like the expansions in World of Warcraft, it invalidates your current characters/cards. They often saw a large drop in numbers with each expansion, this rings similar to that situation.
The Gallery
A place to drain cash. This thing is stupid, does anybody like this? Or like that if you accidently click on a picture it takes your money without prompting first. This is like the only thing is DOESN’T prompt for in this game, and it has to be a time when you can easily drop a ton of cash.
New Cards
Most of the new cards go with the new faction. So far, I haven’t seen any game changers in there. I’m surprised that there are no new Epic cards to choose from with the new faction. Is this your bread and butter?
10 New Quests
Wow, these were boring and easy as hell, and not one of them gave us a new card. This round really disappointed me. I do wish that when you go into campaign mode it would adjust the screen to where you left off. You have to do some searching around to find which quest you hit last.
Able to purchase Legend and Epic cards
Thank you, but wow, are these expensive. I noticed an original price crossed out and then the purchase price reduced. Is this a VIP privilege, or will they be going up in price in the future? They are already overpriced as they are. Also, I’m a little surprised you didn’t do this with diamond cards too.
Card activation animation
Annoying and useless. Please give us the option to turn this off. Please? Pretty please?

Semi-informative window in the bottom left when you are choosing your cards. You could show more information (another line) if you got rid of the unnecessary “VIEW” box underneath it, since double-tapping a card views the card anyway.
Pro Mode Daily Mission
Yay to new missions. Too bad you can only do it once. No progressive missions. I also noticed the public battle mission stopped at 50 (it used to go higher, at least 75 before). Oh well.
Pick Deck Randomizer
Why? Who would do this? If it gave a bonus, that would be cool, but picking cards at random gets owned every time. This would be more fun if it became a fight mode. Cards are picked at random and played against another deck where cards are picked at random. Oh, I’d actually hate you if you did that, but that is the only use I can see in doing this. Where people asking for this? Again, why would I want to do this?
Auto-start and auto-accelerate on battle
A million times thank you for listening to us on this!!!!
Betting in coin bet mode
Now we can only bet 100 gold (quick) or 200 gold (pro). While it’s great that this pushes people to play more pro bets, the betting range is rather underwhelming. See my previous request to allow a range of betting so we can put more on the line.
Hiding stars for triggers in pro mode selection
Cheers! This certainly adds a new level of uncertainty to the game. I’ve liked it.
Players can only loot diamond and legend cards they own
Well, this sucks. Because it’s nearly impossible to get them with the 3k gold deck purchase, you are pretty much forced into buying the legend cards so you don’t get any non-lootable cards. This also makes it so upgraded players are more likely to play legend cards against newbies because we know they are protected. Another move to enrich your bottom line at the expense of alienating new players. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised…
Ability Optimized Attack Target
I love this, and wish this had been there the entire time. I’ve often been scratching my head with, “Holy cow, why would you do this?” when it attacks certain cards. This was a great addition.
Certain trigger cards only trigger 5 times
Thank you. This certainly adds a new and exciting level of complexity. I do wish you’d somehow indicate which trigger cards only get a certain number of activations. It seems like cards that will stop other cards from activating… is that it?
Heal Cards Reduced Cooldown
Sweet! This makes heal cards more useful, especially after they got nerfed in 1.6. I find myself turning to them more often.
Adjustments to card cooldowns
I noticed several cards had their global cooldowns reduced. Good, anything to speed up the game. I’ve had to redo some of my combinations, something that will take some time to adjust around. I approve, because I like how it switches things up.
Joker properties increased from 10% to 20%
So that’s why I’ve been seeing it used more…
Unlrelated question: I’ve been seein the gargoyle used a lot more lately. I didn’t see much of a boost in its stats. Anybody know why this is turning to some people’s go-to card this week?
Aphrodite DEF raised to over 60
Ouch!! It hurt when it was raised to over 50, and this hurts even more. This makes them even more useless. Why all the hate on Aphrodite?
Skeleton Archer ability activation increased from 60% to 75%
Still weak.
Frost Trop Delays for 2 seconds
I’m seeing this played a lot more now. It’s has hosed me in many a game already. Good thing this only works up to a certain time and destroys itself after 5 uses.
Ice Elemental increases base cooldown increased from 2 secs to 3 secs
Still weak, but this does make them a bit more appealing. You can really make somebody’s day really bad with this if you go with the turtle-to-the-end strategy.
Abyss doesn't work on Hell Legion Anymore
I knew since I’d picked up a couple of these they’d get nerfed. It’s amazing how often I don’t turn to this anymore.
Reaper only destroys unit cards
See previous comment. One of my favorite cards, now nerfed. It might have been overpowered, I think is still a little overpowered, but not as much.
Tauren Axe increased exponentially
Wow, they’ve become helpful. I still don’t play mine
Master Druid doesn’t increase it's own stats
Interesting nerf. I stopped playing the MD, but this has got to upset people who play this deck.
Death Tower is suddenly dangerous
15% chance increase with every trigger your enemy plays. Ouch! I’ve been hurt by this guy card than I’d like to admit.
Vengeance now only effects units
Still weak.
Paralysis now targets spell and trigger cards
Ouch! It slowed me down before, this now slows me down even more. Ouch.
Succubus Queen does effect Hell Legion cards
Strange nerf, but okay.
Cards Loot and Ladder now plays thrice daily
YAHOO!!! Thank you, EBC! Now I have one of those three times that actually works in my schedule. Thank you, thank you, thank you! More ladder time as well. I’m quite happy with this!
Features still waiting to see:
Reduced shop prices. Still too expensive to play. When friends ask if they should pick it up, I tell them to only do that if they've got at least $500 to invest into the game. We'd have a lot more players if you concentrate on the micro-transactions instead of getting people to pay almost $100 for one card.
Chat room is still FUBAR
The ability to repeat a battle. At the end of the battle, you still have to tap on the screen about 7 times to get into the next battle. A simple "repeat" button would be awesome after (or even while) reviewing the stats.
Reduced length of ladder season (we’re all begging for it, but we’re starting to not hold our breath).
Send All Energy Button. We still have to click on all ten (and confirm) to distribute them. 20 taps, plus some scrolling around. One button would fix this. Please! It might make it so I get more energy from my friends too.
Better friend management. We’re allowed 10 friends, and they suck. I rarely get energy boosts. I never get 10 games of “friend” play anymore. I’d like to see which friend shave me in their list, when they last played (did they go inactive), and so on.
Saved Decks! Can’t we please have a list of decks we like to play? We hate having to pick those 6 cards over and over and over and over again. A handful of predefined decks would be awesome!

Good write up. I agree with you on just about everything. You seem to be a little more passionate on certain cards being nerfed than I am, but that's only because we've had our own experiences. With that said, good job on breaking down the individual cards affected after the update. Also, adding your opinion helps to add value to your post.
The new Ladder schedule has helped me get up there in the rankings that's for sure. While I greatly agree that the price for individual cards are a lot, I have utilized it. It did make me poor draining my savings within the game. Just getting to a high enough VIP status took enough. I ended up selling a couple sub-par epics to gain ones I wanted.

They also changed up the Frost Wyrm
It no longer atks the weakest but is now chaotic.

But I do agree with you on alot of your opinions.

I get that, but other rounds included a quest that would allow you to win one of the new cards. Also, there have been two quests that were difficult as hell to accomplish. The last round had one that made it difficult to get into the 180 club, it was fun to have that exclusivity. This round was a lot simpler than the last few additions. Now I can foresee players with bigger card pools using legends the same way they use epics which is practically 6 unlootable cards (ie 3epics and 3 legend cards V's free players without legend )
I personally haven't used card loot to get rarer cards (collusion) but looking at it objectively, the player who gets his legendary card looted still pays diamonds(money) to retain the card.
ECB Give free players a chance at rare cards and eventually they (many) will buy into the game if they believe in it.

Please remember we are dealing with DIGITAL CARDS. Nothing is solid or real.
The amount of money I've spent on this game ( and more i might spend in the future ) I could have spent on MTG cards and go play, live, with real people and win real money.
I have enjoyed this game very much. And do not regret spending my money to help grow this card game. But with every update comes more and more reasons to spend more money.
We can buy epics and Legendaries? cool. O wait, you have to be VIP5 then spend $70 for each Epic... I mean cmon. Yes a few people are going to do this, and I MAY be interested as well. But making it more accessible to more people would make more sense no? Think of Wal-Mart! Everything cheap. Everyone go buy.

You need to make them shorter. The beginning of the Ladder is the best, everyones playing to get ahead. then 3 weeks later its just the same shit. Win 5, lose 1. Back to where you started. I am done playing ladder until the last 2 days and then I'll just catch up to everybody. Ladder has lost it's drive. And its a shame because it's the only competitive part of this game.

However still too expensive for virtual cards. The levelling has made this card game "pay to win"
I would not say this is the best virtual card game in the market, although it is the one I am playing now.
I have played other card games that have a wider tactical variance and less "pay to win"
