How about exlusive cards?
They appear on special days (halloween, Chinese new year...There is so much) or weekends and you have to complete some missions in two or three days to get them for free.
For example win 150 Matches in quick and 150 in pro in 2days. For a high rarity card you can add even more missions. Those who can't do it can get the card for diamonds but only on the days were the missions are happening.
The card isn't available trough the shop. That's why it is an exclusive "special" card. I would say it is only available through the vip function and then only for diamonds.
With this you also ensure that on these days many players are playing.
