Overlord

Post by Bookie »

Not sure if I am misreading card wrong or if it's poorly written. Faces an overlord with 500 hp left and he fully healed himself after his area attack. Can you confirm if this is a bug or not? The part about full hp recovery

This card reads "each target recovers it's 15% hp."

This is very poor English in my opinion. This implies that the targets it hits will then recover 15% hp and that is after a rough interpretation....and it doesn't say anything about the overlord recovering its hp just the targets....others have also said the card is doing what it says so I am wondering if 1. My card says something different or 2. How others are reading this card and seeing that overlord gets a full hp recovery.....

It is implying that each target he hits, he will recover 15% of his own HP. English is not these guys' strong point ;)

And im pretty sure that is what it does.

That makes sense penn. Perhaps it should read "after each target he hits he regains 15% hp." To clarify that the overlord is the one gaining hp and so that there are verbs in the correct place.

Just did the math. Works as we thought. Every unit hit restores 15% of his total

Does "If this card's HP is below 50% and there is no unit's maxmium ATK higher than it, it can attack all other units for once and recover its HP by 15% per target." makes better sense?

Yes that looks good and is more clear to anyone reading the card.

There was some talk that his ability didn't always activate in palringo. Some people said his ability only says that he "can" attack everyone but not necessarily that he "will". Bis there a chance that he won't attack everyone or is that only bc some of the conditions may not have been met? Thanks for any clarification.

His ability does not go off all the time. I have seen him way below 50% and it not trigger. It does go off about 90% of the time though.
