Hardcore ladder proposal

All the top players have noticed that hardcore is too risky to play the last week of the game bc DP lost from one game can drop a top player as much as 12k and they would have to win 30 games in a row easily to get it back. This happened three seasons ago with me and akke exchanging wins in hardcore. We both lost so much DP it dropped him to ninth place. There is no way this makes sense he was the best player in the game.

My proposal is to make two different ladders. One for hardcore mode and one for pro. Here me out. First you could offer a legend card to the top finishers of hardcore mode as well. Free players fair better in hc mode and would stand a decent shot at the top 20 there. This solves that problem. Two there would be a true hardcore champion. It's a different style of play altogether and translates very little to pro only somewhat. This would be a great incentive for even more ladder play amongst free players and would help reward them a little more. Let's be honest winning a purple card every two weeks barely puts a dent into collecting them all. A taste of getting a purple card is very sweet for any player especially a free player. Please consider. I know so many people in palringo that would give this their full support and score you guys some major brownie points and respect.

Also this should be a coin bet option. This is most fun part of game why not encourage more of it.

Even I am not HC fan, I am okay with this thing. If you ask me, there can be a quick mode ladder too. Three different ladders so we won't meet each other so often. The rewards can be the same or a little bit decreased because it is not easy to get a high place on all three types of ladder. There are some players that love hardcore mode so they will enjoy this. Another thing is that even weaker players can win a stronger ones in HC. About quick mode ladder, it would be the most interesting part on the ladder. Everyone can beat everyone. You will need some good deck and luck ofc.


About realizing this idea, there won't be a lot of work. It depends of admin/s wishes.

Hardcore is unplayable within the last few days of Ladder for top players. Losing at LEAST 7,000 for a loss is waaay too much.

A separate Ladder is welcoming.

If you do have a separate Ladder, please change the DP loss and gain to the way pro mode is. These extreme losses will still not work for an all Hardcore Ladder.

Yes it seems like it's triple the DP for a win and triple the DP for a loss. So at the end of the season when all the top players switch to pro there is no way to play here anymore vs players where a win is worth 200 DP and a loss can be as high as -12000 DP.

I like it. Think it would be nice if each ladder had separate DP scores. I like chronic's idea if there was a away that the top few players couldn't dominate both ladders.
