LADDER DP

Post by GrimRaper »

Anybody know how this works? I have one bad day where i lose slightly more than i win..I then move down over 20 places in the ladder (from 19th to 40th) with my DUEL POINTS at more than minus 4000. How does this work?

Raper, it is based on who you play. If you beat a top player you will get tons of DP. Enough to offset if you lose a few matches to other players. So on days where you win less but move up more you probably beat better players.

When you get closer to top ranking like too 25 I noticed the penalty for losing becomes exponentially greater. In the top spot you can lose 4000 DP for a loss to the number 2 player but only get 1800 for beating them. I suppose this is built in to keep top players from running away with all the DP never to be caught. As your ranking drops this effect is probably was noticeable and it is easier to move up. In general the system seems to level everyone out. You should oscillate up and down around your true rank and hopefully your last day will be good do that you end up ranked on the plus side.

Cool thanks for the info, next time i lose a couple battles in a row, i might take a break instead of carrying on my losing streak. I was just suprised because i had many days in the same area (moving 1 or 2 positions), then i have one bad session an POOP, gone. BTW - I versed necklet four or five times in about 60 minutes and i was definitely the rapEE..not rapER !

Its not fun at all to face up necklet, and especially the chinese guy multiple times in a period although i just nearly reach top 100. It was like he just need to throw his cards to game without thinking to wipe me out

I know that sometimes we need that kind of experience, but the amount of DP we lost should be less than a lost to a non-top player.
