Losing Interest in this new "rock paper scissors"

Post by BB3 »

Hey guys, and ECB.
This is just to inform you all I'm losing interest in this game fast. I'm leaning toward quitting, which is sad considering I support this game on forums and financially. I only enjoy hardcore and quick mode. I've never cared for pro, just not my cup of tea. Now hardcore has been ruined by these decks full of AOE units combined with dancers gargoyles loaded with heals and of course everyone favorite skeleton decks. I fully blame your team for tthat screw up. Ever since the 1.9. Its been down hill. In my opinion which you've made clear mine nor anyone else's other then Bookie's matter. This games fallen since the 1.9 and yes im aware you guys change his cool down (skeleton archer) still its extremely annoying to watch this card die over and over again while watching your units get slaughtered by spells. The area decks, im aware, have always been around but now with the dancer. Ive faced decks that never seem to stop attacking. An entire deck just introduced to a new hardcore round and never even got to reach a cooldown. Some cases are bad luck. But when a kid can throw Gargoyles or Area decks his 3rd deck and win,80% of the time against cards much stronger then them is ridiculous. I've already made it clear in chat I'm done spending money on a game, I feel it's getting worse. Since1.9 the only thing added to help was rewards. But they're the same for everyone which only guarantees havoc on the 30th day (release the dragons cause they'll be freaking everywhere.) I know i cant be the only one to feel as if the balance in this game is broke.

I will continue to be active in chat but I have no true interest in playing competitive "rock paper scissors".
This was typed on my phone so I apologize for typos and misspellings.

Two suggestions. One. I am sure bb3 would not be as angry if one loss did not undo 15 wins. Nobody at the top plays core anymore except a few in the first week so the wins there are smaller and the losses are huge. You have got to fix this so it is less agonizing on an all core player. This is why you need a separate ladder for core. So you don't have to figure out how to merge it with pro. They are in no way similar anyway. The strategies are completely different.

Secondly I pointed out the Rock Paper Scissors aspect of this two months ago in core. There is much more luck involved in Core than in pro. With that being said it's true a free player stands a much better chance vs a pay player here than in pro. But I have felt and said before that you need to make the last round like pro mode to reduce the luck aspect. Ladder should be about skill not luck. This allows everyone to see the final strategy as it is unfolding and gives them the final chance to counter it that they don't get otherwise.

Now with that being said you still have a long way to go toward balance. I will not harp on this here. I have and will continue to defend free players. They must be given a chance but this must be more a game of skill than luck or money. You have work to do.

Thank you bookie. I apologize if this seems like a vent, it may partly be. But its really ruining the game for me. I don't think were the only two concerned.

Been a player since way way back. And spent a shit load of $ in this game. (probably one of the reasons I still stick around is I still have hopes for this game) since about 1.7 I have decided not to spend a dime until I see changes which will help keep the player base growing and active. On the plus side, there have been changes in the right direction, but on the other hand, you seem to take away each time you give. Discounts that lasted for months.. Suddenly gone. (do u expect players not to complain?) No more chances at epics for gold packs to name another.

I feel that I share a lot of the sentiments of bb3 I'm particularly annoyed by spell-skeleton decks because at lvl1 they can easily steamroll almost any deck not prepared for it.

Hardcore was a cool thing that brought back my interest but bugs like resurrecting decks (I didn't sign up for a 5v3), game crashes on cards, and insanely cheesy powerful combos are getting annoying and I refuse to join the insanity by playing skeleton myself. This is just me ranting but still being hopeful. Please please listen to the suggestions of people who truly care about where this game is going.

Suggest a coin bet version of hardcore. Hardcore is a fun way to change the monotony that the game can take on if you play pro a lot. Getting more players to participate in core could benefit them in enjoying the other side of the game and could lead to a wider range of strategies seen in core.
