Q&A

Post by issac434241 »

Q&A:
1. Is this game pay to play?
Not really. Free player can also collect all diamond cards with time and be top 100 or even top 50 in ladder. However, it really takes time and you will easily get frustrated when facing experienced players. Is it pay to win? You will find the answer out soon.

2. How can I earn more coins?
At first, you can earn coins by doing 3-star campaign quests repeatedly. Later, you can develop a deck to do coin bet quick matches. If win-rate >60%, it is more effective than doing campaign.

3. When should I start Ladder?
If you are familiar with Pro mode, you may try Ladder match. You may set you goal as top 500 to get rewards.

4. I have saved some diamonds, how should I spend?
If it is not much, you can buy Boot of Speed and VIP. Speed means effectiveness. VIP provides more EXP and Reset Function for VIP 3 is vital for a long term players.

5. If I want to buy diamond, any suggestion?
If you are planning to invest, you may wait for Epic Card Special Mission, get 1 free Epic Card with purchase of 1800 diamonds. If you have a tight budget, you may wait for Legend Card/Diamond Card Mission.

6. What is the cost for VIP?
From VIP 1-6, 19,49,99,199,299,399 diamonds respectively.

7. What is the price to buy specific Legend/ Epic cards with VIP5/6?
Legend: 99 diamonds
Epic: 999 diamonds

8. 2000 coins to draw 5 cards or 2498 coins to buy Lucky Star Pack, which is better?

Draw-card is cheaper but you may get 5 silver cards in the worst case. Card pack costs more but it guarantees you 4 silver cards and 1 golden card in worst case. In my opinion, I would recommend Lucky Star Pack.
(This is data from players but not official data. Just for your reference)

9. How to calculate CAP for a deck?
CAP for 1-5 star cards are 3,4,5,7,9 respectively. For every 25 levels, CAP+1. For example, a deck with 6 lv10 silver cards, the basic CAP=6*3=18. Since the total level is 60, so the total CAP is 18+2=20.

10. What is the priority for Chain Lightning and Shadow Bolts when the number of targeted unit is the same?
Priority for China Lightning: Shrine Alliance→ Nature Force→ Hell Legion→ Fanstiya Empire→ Dynasty Rising
Priority for Shadow Bolts: Weak→ Threat→ Chaos→ Area→ Ability

11. Should I sacrifice or craft the excess cards?
For Silver Cards, it is better to sacrifice them because golden Cards can be easily got in Card Packs. For Golden Cards, if you have spent some money and got some decent cards, then you don’t rely on Diamond Cards so it is better to sacrifice. If you are free player, you can consider crafting so as to get some basic Diamond Cards a.s.a.p.
When sacrificing Silver and Golden Cards, there are some tips. It is better to sacrifice 6 Silver Cards in a row and even number for Golden Cards.

12. How to save a deck?
After you build a 6-card deck, there will be “save deck” option appearing at the bottom-left.

13. What is purpose for evolving card? How can I evolve my card?
Cards after each evolution will gain extra 10lv stat than before. One lv40 evolved card will act as a lv50 non-evolved card. In other words, a lv50 evolved card will be like a lv60 card. To enable the option of evolution, you have to enhance your card to lv50 and collect certain amount of that card. For example, when you plan to evolve Apprentice, you need to have 11 lv50 Apprentice.
(P.S. Cards after evolution will reset to lv41 and you need to use rubies to enhance if you want a “lv60” card.)

If you have any other inquiries, please feel free to ask below.

Quick Mode Introduction

Post by issac434241 »

Quick Mode Match:
Quick Mode is an effective mean to earn coins especially for free players. It consists a largely in luck. Therefore, if you don’t have decent cards, you can go there to build up your wealth.

Quick Mode Features:
1. Matching will give priority to opponents with decks’ CAP similar to yours but it is not a must if not many players are searching.
2. Luck matters so there is no perfect deck. High win-rate deck will be countered soon therefore “equilibrium” is achieved. A relatively high win-rate is your goal.

Key to Victory:
1. Control Deck’s CAP
Higher CAP means higher quality but it is easier to face some strong opponents. Therefore you to position yourself in Quick Mode and control your CAP.

2. Know your Enemies
Ensure that your deck can defeat at least half of the mainstreamed deck. Otherwise you are losing coins.

3. Follow the Trend or Break it
In every version, there are always some overpowered cards and form the mainstream. You can make use of these cards. On the other hands, you can build a deck which counter them to win coins.

Card Selection Tips:
1. Stars doesn’t mean everything
New players should keep in mind that rarer cards are not always stronger. Don’t just build your deck with all your high-star cards.

2. Make use of Faction Bonus
Faction Bonus introduced in V2.1 can bring advantage as effective as an extra Golden card.

3. One Direction
If you want to take down your opponents quickly, you should focus on attack like Elves Seduction, Haste. If you are aiming for attrition, you have to use some tanks accompanied with defense card like Blessing of the Mother Earth and Pit Trap.

4. Diversifies Armor Type and Attack Type
An all-round deck should consist at least two Attack Type. For example, Melee as main, Magic as secondary.

5. Card Position
Cards with same CD, the one at front will activate first. For example, Poison Rain and Elf Sentry are both 8CD. Poison Rain should at the front so that Elf Sentry can enjoy the defense reduction effect.

PRO Mode Introduction

Post by issac434241 »

Pro Mode Match:
Pro Mode is a place for the true display of skills. In Pro Mode, players select two cards in a time limit, 3 rounds in total. Then battle of six-card deck will start.

Pro Mode Features:
1. Not much to tell. It is not only battle between cards but also your intelligence.

Key to Victory:
1. Keep your Secret Weapon at behind
As there are 3 stages for card selection, you can counter what your opponent has put. Because of this, the last two cards are usually the key to victory if two players’ strength is similar. Therefore, your first four cards should be all-rounded and avoid obvious weakness like monotonous Attack Type and Armor Type. For those cards which can be easily countered like Gargoyle, Creator, you can hide them at behind.

2. Direct the Fire effectively
Try to let your unit survive for one more round as this means an extra round of DPS. There are four Attack Targets in game: Weak, Threat, Chaos, Ability Optimized. Since you can’t control Chaos, you have to divert the other there and spread them on your units evenly so that they all can survive longer. For example, you can use high ATK Enchanted unit to attract Threat Melee attack.

3. Psychological Warfare
If your cards are much weaker than your opponent’s, you have to play tricks and don’t follow the ordinary way. For example, you can show obvious weakness in your first four cards. You can use 3-4 units with odd CD and your opponents may use Flaming Arrow at the end. You can then use Haste to and the Arrow will be useless. However, you have to be familiar with your opponent’s behavior and all you need is more matches and good memory.

Card Selection Tips:
1. Diversification
Usually, Armor, Attack Target, Attack Type, CD should avoid monotony. And for Faction, you have to consider the Faction Bonus and the risk of Chain Lightning. You may choose some Light Armor/ Unarmored at the first four cards so that it won’t be hurt so much by Chain Lightning.

2. Card Position
Most common unit CDs are 8/9s so you can put them at the front in order to attack first. Some tactical cards like Joker, Gargoyle, Reaper can be hided at the end. Facing special ability like Diao Chan, you have to be careful of the units next to your unit with highest ATK. Make sure that they won’t take ton of damage.

There are a lot of techniques in Pro Mode. You can learn more in matches.

Hardcore Mode Introduction

Post by issac434241 »

Hardcore Match:
Hardcore mode can be either Practice or Ladder. Players choose a deck within a time limit and three rounds in total. In the battle, it is 6-card battle as usual. If a deck is destroyed, next deck replaces until all three decks are destroyed.

Hardcore Features:
1. The percentage of luck is in between Quick and Pro Mode. Since using deck as a unit in each round, tactic varies a lot. The last deck can even be the turning point.
2. Suppose player A&B, when B’s deck is destroyed, next deck of B will replace, A’s deck will not be affected, current CD and statistics unchanged.

Key to Victory:
1. Importance of 1st deck
It is all about luck. If your 1st deck counters opponents’, you will basically have resources of 2.5 decks to fight against opponent’s remaining 2 decks. Therefore, the 1st deck can be divided into mainly 2 types:
i. All-rounded but average. These decks can fight against most of the deck fairly. Even though it loses in the first round, opponent’s 1st deck is usually very weak or having great debuff. Example: Moonlight Assassin& Harpy, Succubus, Ice Elemental.
ii. All in or nothing. These decks are only powerful under certain situation. They are used when you know that some strong players are playing Ladder so you build up this “special” deck to counter their first deck in order to gain advantage.

2. Treat it like Pro Mode
Don’t just follow your own plan and put your designed 3 decks thoughtlessly. Analyze your opponent’s deck and make adjustment.

3. 3rd deck as Goalkeeper
Last deck is your Goalkeeper. If you are having advantage, you can choose a all-rounded deck. If you think you are going to lose, you can play something different as your last hope. Example can be Evil Lich deck, Summer Time deck, Skeleton Spell deck.

4. Write your own Plot
Accurate prediction matters. You have to predict whether your 1st deck can win or not. If it can win, how far can it go? Player with advantage can write better plot. For example, you have 1st deck with Heavy/Enchanted units and you predict that it can win over opponent’s 1st deck. Then your opponent may put some Magic/Special AOE for 2nd deck, you can use Violet Maid& Haste as your 2nd deck.

Card Selection Tips:
1. Avoid having same weakness in two Consecutive Decks
For example, if your 1st deck relies on Spell damage, you should avoid Healing/Summer Time etc. in 2nd deck. Otherwise, Sabotage will destroy both decks.

2. Make use of Snowball Effect & Attrition Cards
As statistics won’t change when you destroy 1 deck, Snowball Effect can be kept. Cards like Elven Fairy, Violet Maid, Summer Time, Bear Warrior, Evil Lich, Master Druid’s advantages can last long. Regarding attrition, Slaughters, Skeleton, Skeleton King, Dual Daggers Rouge, Priest, Healing, Succubus Queen and Vengeance etc. are good cards in attrition and having ability to destroy decks.

Finally, hope that all of you will enjoy this game. Welcome to leave comment and share ideas.
