Yeah like a lot of mobile games they reeaaally entice you to spend money. I've dropped $50 my self. I have no problem supporting games I really enjoy, especially if the devs keep up on the game. Which looks the case thus far.
With out buyjng gems you will hit a plateau..youre going to have to win tons of 100 gold bet matches to get yourself better cards AND upgraded cards. at the same time you have to win those matches against people who have spent money so its a rough spot. Definitely do able tho. Not trying to scare ya, one can have a decently competing deck with the right silver and gold cards for sure.
If you enjoy the game I say spend a 24.99 if it fits your budget. Get your self at least one, probably 2 card pack that nets you Legendary (purple) cards. Then either get more gold or rubies to buy/ upgrade youre better and more used cards.
Hope this helps. ill be lurking

I've spent a few hundred. I don't mind spending money on good games, but I regret spending that much now. The two epics I bought are pretty useless and impossibly expensive to level up to anything useful. Also, while buying decks, the developers really bait and switch you in the shop. If you buy the legacy of the Gods pack, which the description says diamond, legend, and epic cards, actually gives you silver and gold. The last (and final) pack I bought was over 50% silver and gold cards... and one useless epic.winstonz wrote:So... have you spent $$$ on in-game purchases and how much have u spent?

That said, if you do spend money, now that I know the game better this is what I'd spend them on: rubies!! Properly upgraded silver, gold, and diamond cards DESTROY hard-core. I've won more legendaries than I bought getting the packs. Upgrade a strong character to 30+ as well as a few trigger cards (melee or pierce) and a corresponding unit, and you'll be winning legendaries before you know it. Each hand I usually play 5 silver to gold cards and one legendary. I rarely use my epics, they just sit and collect dust.
Oh, and hold on to a few diamonds. If you go up against somebody and they surprise you while you play a legendary, you can revise it for a few diamonds. Keeping enough on hand may be worth it, especially if they nab a legendary you particularly like.
I wouldn't worry about trying to buy epics until you are ranked near the top. I'm currently ranked 181 and rarely go up against an epic. Even then, I've won more than I've lost (too bad I can't loot those).
Oh, go up a couple of VIP levels, too. The extra energy and gold is nice to have around.
My two cents. Don't spend too much on this game, you'll end up regretting it like me.

Re: Have you made any in-game purchases so far?
Thank's for the tip, Prodigy
Re: Have you made any in-game purchases so far?
Completely agree with Prodigy. I spent 25 dollars on this game and in the beginning I thought it was a great investment. Over time and the updates the game is losing most of it's charm. Appreciate the feedback though ^^Pr0digy wrote:I've spent a few hundred. I don't mind spending money on good games, but I regret spending that much now. Re: Have you made any in-game purchases so far?
Quite a comprehensive feedback. Is Epic really that worse? It's very rare and it can't be lost forever!Pr0digy wrote:I've spent a few hundred. Anyway, we are always working very hard on the balance.
Let's see how it goes when v1.6 is out.

Well, I've got two epic cards. They are:ecb_admin wrote:Pr0digy wrote:winstonz wrote:Is Epic really that worse? It's very rare and it can't be lost forever!
Anyway, we are always working very hard on the balance.
Let's see how it goes when v1.6 is out.
1) Goddess of War. She has decent attack and decent HP, but she dies quickly and she can't be combined with a damage boosting card. Taking 15% of the damage dealt away from the armor is pretty cool, but I'd hardly consider that "epic" quality.
2) Dragon Slayer. Semi-decent attack but a lot of hit points and armor. But what makes him special (a little extra attack to people with high health) has yet to come in handy for me. Even then, cards with that many health points are poised to take this card down in a hurry. Again, you have the special damage so there is no boosting it.
Princess Mia hits harder than these two AND can be combined with a damage boosting trigger. Actually, there are a number of cards that offer more. The only cool thing about them is that they can't be looted, but since they can't help me win any battles, I never play them anyway. They just gather dust.
Re: Have you made any in-game purchases so far?
Well I also don't mind spending money on a good game but I'd like to see how far I can get without the purchase for now.
At some point I will get bored and require more cards to up the strategy. What I don't like is the randomness of what card you get.

Re: Have you made any in-game purchases so far?
Agreed. I'd pay a little extra to get a certain card. As for how far you can get without purchasing something, I'm going to do a post on that. I think you can get very far...winstonz wrote:Well I also don't mind spending money on a good game but I'd like to see how far I can get without the purchase for now.
