Sweat your culture I understand you wish not to upset your friend who has performed best this season. You do not wish to ruin his season he has done well on. For us this is not the case. We play each other as if we all want to be champion regardless of who is ahead. In some cases we upset our friends are prevent them from victory. In fact this season Pennfifteen beat Justabum on the final day of ladder. They are great friends and guild mates. In our culture our friends accept this because they wish to win true victory without their friend taking it easy or bowing out even one match. To do this they feel would give unfair advantage to inflate their DP score.
ECB cannot regulate different cultural values it must determine how to be fair to all those who compete. If it allows you to throw games to each other it must allow all players to throw games to each other. If it allows all players to throw game to each other then competition changes completely. The winner becomes one of who has the most friends willing to help them. In the spirit of competition the ladder is supposed to be an individual competition not a team competition. Their is a grey territory because of course there is also a guild war that gives a sense of team play. Distinguishing between these two is of course the way the developers intend the game to be played as the game first began as an individual ladder not a team sport.
In light of this there ARE ways that ECB can create an environment where all parties and cultures feel they can play anyway they choose and all agree. If the top 16 players were to qualify for an end of season tournament this would solve the issue. These top 16 will all have earned their spot. In such a single elimination tournament you can feel free to throw any match you want and be eliminated. Others who have earned their spot suffer in no way from this. Others who wish to compete in true fairness will not be penalized in this way as they will advance freely to the next round. Though the logistics of such a thing would be unlikely It could be doable. As great as it would be the best two players could meet in a final showdown. But as such the developers will not create such a system unless they have the will to do so.
Until then the developers must work with what they originally intended and operate within that system. Ladder is an individual competition until otherwise stated. Losing on purpose to your friends has been stated as unfair means to other competitors who wish to test their skills. By giving points to your friends you guarantee their victory. By guaranteeing their victory you guarantee your opponents defeat. If you have guaranteed your opponents defeat from the beginning then why must the opponent feel compelled to compete? Then we no longer have a competition. It is up to you to see what is fair. For most of us who have enjoyed fair competition in the past we also wish to enjoy fair competition in the future. Some of us including myself can spend up to 40 hours a ladder to try to win title. This can be a sacrifice. We wish to see the fruits of our sacrifice too.
If the developers wish to create a end of season tournament I think this would create much excitement. For even now many feel there are only a small group of players who can really win. There are some players who will feel more compelled to spend money knowing that if they can just get into the top 16 they have a shot. Ecb could benefit and no one would have to question the ladder system again. And of course the live viewing room would no be useful in the tournament where you can know your opponent before hand and choose any start you wish. Of course How would ECB determine if the match is Pro or core? The player with the higher DP gets to choose. In this way the winner is determined.

I think you are a bit too wide, all related to the state, national traditions and customs.
Do you think its only chinese whom has tradition to respect elder? My tradition is same but if i have a match against my father or grandpa i try my best to win because this is a game not a class where you have to respect your elder/teacher. In a game whoever you are against you try to win, that is a definition of a game. In a race, do you wait for your elder to come to finish line when you are 2 meter away from it? In my opinion that is not respect...
First of all, we are not using any of the plug-in or plug-in, no damage to the game environment.
Cheating doesn't need to have plugin or program. Giving a free points so your friend can become champion is also a cheat. The rest of us work hard for those points but you can just chill and call your friend for free points?
Since this game is a showdown game, ECB just provides a platform, the players are all means to win, why to cheat?
Because I am no cheater and i have self respect and respect to others.

I guess we should stop discussing cultures at all.
There are quite a lot of players from China in this game, some are even in my guild or in my chatrooms and many of them are worthy gaming partners and friends. It is not true that everybody of them is losing purposely if he meets another Chinese, a guild member or just a friend.
What we are talking about here is a small group of players purposely losing to one selected player of their group. It is not true that a whole guild is involved in this or even a whole nation or culture.
Just like it isn't true that there is a national culture dictating everybody to play this way only. If this would exist, any player from this culture would loose to anybody, but this isn't the case. We are talking about just a few people who decided to abuse the ladder system in this way who are now fishing for arguments why it might be legit what they did. I didn't read any acceptable argument so far though.
In the end, this is all about respect. We all play to have fun and we have more fun if we win. We play every single match (besides of bots) with someone who invests his time and energy to be part of our fun and to have fun themselves. We don't have the right to waste his time and energy but always should give him the best match possible. There is no reason to play at all besides of fun!
Let's hope we have a fair game now and let's have some fun again.

Sweet I can not follow all that you say because of the language barrier. First let me say I do not believe in a full ban for this type of thing. We are considering people who are heavily invested in the game and the game is about ladder. To ban them is to essentially swallow up their account so they can't play anymore competitively. We need to talk though about both fairness and consequences. First you need to recognize that throwing mTches is unfair gamesmanship. If we cannot agree on that then we will get no where except just sharing different view points. Second ECB should have a penalty for this because regardless if how much DP you are dumping to one player someone else had to fight for that same DP and risk losing. There is a difference here that surely you see.
I do not believe we should be here on the forum discussing this or accusing people. Ecb needs a better system. Ecb should implement a Report button on live viewing matches if people are playing random cards vs their friends. This is a must because is no different than losing the match on purpose. And we need not discuss this on forum everytime and throw accusations. Ecb should have a policy that is stron and prevent this behavior. I Do not believe it should be forever as that seems harsh. Let's realize we are talking about a friend throwing a match to a friend and maybe feeling like it was ok but it really wasn't. Yes there's some grey territory here.
Ecb needs to frown on this though to protect the integrity of ladder for every though and if these type if matches are happening and players can simply hit a report button this should cause some penalty to go into effect or should allow someone to review the match. What should that penalty be? I don't know what is fair. You know what everyone else says. They say you guys should be banned permanently because this has been happening for a long long time now. Well? This would be sad if this is true because my friends and I have fought long hard hours for many close seasons we have barely lost. And what if we lost because you're friends are throwing a few matches I give you just enough DP to beat us? This is not fair. This is not respect. This is not something you should defend. So let this go please lets talk about what is fair.
Is up to Ecb to say what is fair and up to other players but if it was me I was say that hose type of player should be suspended from ladder for multiple seasons. I think everyone is entitled to a chance of redemption and recognize what is fair and u fair and decide to try to play by the rules or not. And I don't that I think you should penalize the person getting the DP necessarily because is impossible to prove that they are cheating. The DP should be taken away from that match for sure yes. But It is obvious of course that the person throwing the match is doing something wrong and should undoubtedly be restricted from playing any more ladder matches for some time because that is obvious abuse. If a player is caught abusing ladder or implicit on throwing matches then some temporary suspension should take place and they should be removed from receiving any ladder reward that season.
I'm not even sure what Ecb did you say you get no DP from ladder now? Well if this is permanent that is harsh but if this is for multiple seasons then this could be fair because is necessary to protect integrity if game. If Ecb does not enact some type of ladder restriction for this then it will always happen every season and no one will care and there will really not even be a fair ladder anymore just a game of who can help out their friend guild mate the most. So you should appeal to Ecb and they should decide what is fair and you should be respectful to Ecb because is not that they can just turn a blind eye but must consider how to keep ladder a fair place to play. I know you have been very respectful and I admire you because you are willing to talk about this in respectful way here even with many people attacking you. So please share your thoughts.
Lastly I will say let Ecb add this. If two players match up let their be a button pop up that either player can push them that says "this battle will not count toward ladder." Only if both player accept this button then those players may play any way they want and nobody will get DP. If only one player select the button then the battle will count. If Ecb accept your arguement that friends don't want to beat their friends the last day of ladder then can create this type of feature. But if this type of feature does not e it's then must recognize to play for real. Ladder is not a team competitio or one for nation pride. There is no pride for any nation that wins this way. They is nothing but shame to any nation to win this way. Nobody looks up to somebody who win this way. To win fairly is to earn respect and those around you will look up to you and admire you. This is my definition of national pride. To not just be number 1 rank but to have earned the number 1 rank.
Lastly I say one more thing. Ecb should allow separate playing room for playing hardcore and pro vs friends or private rooms to go into and play matches against all those in that room. For example if me and five friends all just want to play each other only we can enter this private game room and randomly be seated to face each other in either mode. Is my favorite joy to play against my friends as those are some of my most interesting gMes. Is unfortunate that I do not get to play them many days sometimes at all because of the random match up. If such an arena were to exist then you or anyone else would be free to go play however you want against each other there. But more importantly I would want something like this for myself because I feel like not just me but all ayers would enjoy this feature. such a feature is long overdue addition to the game. I would be happy to enter a room with you or Akke and us feel free to challenge each other in many matches.
In fact there are many things Ecb could do to benefit the game by adding such rooms.
1. Have time slot for all players below level 30 can enter the room and play for one hour. The best performer may get some small gold or rubies.
2. Host small tournament in such rooms where eight such players may enter the room and a tournament begins. The tournament could be some form of pro coin mode.
3. Have room with designated playing time at end of ladder for the top 4 or 8 or 16 finishers. Such players could play a tournament for the title to prevent such abuse.
4. Have room for friends to play and practice against each other of course.
Many people complain they cannot play pro or hardcore matches with friends. Since Ecb has done so much to enhance the game playing experience I believe this is something worth considering as next on such a list.
I do not believe we should be here on the forum discussing this or accusing people. Ecb needs a better system. Ecb should implement a Report button on live viewing matches if people are playing random cards vs their friends. This is a must because is no different than losing the match on purpose. And we need not discuss this on forum everytime and throw accusations. Ecb should have a policy that is stron and prevent this behavior. I Do not believe it should be forever as that seems harsh. Let's realize we are talking about a friend throwing a match to a friend and maybe feeling like it was ok but it really wasn't. Yes there's some grey territory here.
Ecb needs to frown on this though to protect the integrity of ladder for every though and if these type if matches are happening and players can simply hit a report button this should cause some penalty to go into effect or should allow someone to review the match. What should that penalty be? I don't know what is fair. You know what everyone else says. They say you guys should be banned permanently because this has been happening for a long long time now. Well? This would be sad if this is true because my friends and I have fought long hard hours for many close seasons we have barely lost. And what if we lost because you're friends are throwing a few matches I give you just enough DP to beat us? This is not fair. This is not respect. This is not something you should defend. So let this go please lets talk about what is fair.
Is up to Ecb to say what is fair and up to other players but if it was me I was say that hose type of player should be suspended from ladder for multiple seasons. I think everyone is entitled to a chance of redemption and recognize what is fair and u fair and decide to try to play by the rules or not. And I don't that I think you should penalize the person getting the DP necessarily because is impossible to prove that they are cheating. The DP should be taken away from that match for sure yes. But It is obvious of course that the person throwing the match is doing something wrong and should undoubtedly be restricted from playing any more ladder matches for some time because that is obvious abuse. If a player is caught abusing ladder or implicit on throwing matches then some temporary suspension should take place and they should be removed from receiving any ladder reward that season.
I'm not even sure what Ecb did you say you get no DP from ladder now? Well if this is permanent that is harsh but if this is for multiple seasons then this could be fair because is necessary to protect integrity if game. If Ecb does not enact some type of ladder restriction for this then it will always happen every season and no one will care and there will really not even be a fair ladder anymore just a game of who can help out their friend guild mate the most. So you should appeal to Ecb and they should decide what is fair and you should be respectful to Ecb because is not that they can just turn a blind eye but must consider how to keep ladder a fair place to play. I know you have been very respectful and I admire you because you are willing to talk about this in respectful way here even with many people attacking you. So please share your thoughts.
Lastly I will say let Ecb add this. If two players match up let their be a button pop up that either player can push them that says "this battle will not count toward ladder." Only if both player accept this button then those players may play any way they want and nobody will get DP. If only one player select the button then the battle will count. If Ecb accept your arguement that friends don't want to beat their friends the last day of ladder then can create this type of feature. But if this type of feature does not e it's then must recognize to play for real. Ladder is not a team competitio or one for nation pride. There is no pride for any nation that wins this way. They is nothing but shame to any nation to win this way. Nobody looks up to somebody who win this way. To win fairly is to earn respect and those around you will look up to you and admire you. This is my definition of national pride. To not just be number 1 rank but to have earned the number 1 rank.

Re: Repeated Abuse / Dumping DP / Manipulating Ladder System
I don't want anyone banned unless they continue to not follow the rules. Some of the players being punished for this are still amung the best players in the game and are fun and challenging to battle. I do however want the cheating to stop.
In my opinion there should be a short term punishment for this offense. A much larger penalty for a repeated offense. If it happens a 3rd time then the player should be banned.
