Revisiting Starter Packs to encourage Lifetime Package

So it’s awesome that you guys are offering the half price lifetime pack for Christmas. I hope it is a success and several new players come to the game because of it. I think it would be great for the game. On that same note I have realized that there is no immediate return for buying the lifetime pack. You get 60 scrolls and some initial diamonds but other than that you are playing the waiting game and you have no new cards to show for it. For this reason there is not a lot to entice a player who is new to the game to buy it. For this reason I don’t think a lot of people buy this package the first week they download the game. $60 is a lot but perhaps fair but they don’t know for sure if they like the game and so they’re more interested in having cards than having diamonds. Ok so here is the suggestion it is to have something called a starter package that comes with 3-5 known cards that are perhaps attractive and cost guess how much? Yep 60 scrolls. This is the new player chance to grab 4 great cards in the game and a lifetime package and they’re now in great position to start playing a little more competitively. Here is my suggestion of the 1 time purchase package:

Starter package comes with:
1. Mana wyrm (it’s a good anti spell card) they likely don’t have an Elvyn Fairy but this is a good poor mans alternative and let’s a frustrated new player have a weapon in there arsenal
2. Skull bomb. Not a very attractive card but it’s a special card so a collector would want it. Plus it’ll be a card they don’t have and can’t get. I don’t get the impression people buy this in the shop anyway somce no one plays it so why not package it up in a deal. Still looks fairly attractive to a new player and who knows maybe you will give this card a buff one day to make it more useful.
3. Joker. Yes this card is fairly attractive to someone who has just been playing a week. It’s much stronger than in evb1 and quite useful. I have even started using it myself in ladder. And it can copy epics so not too shabby.
4. Adorable bunny. Ok this is the only big giveaway in the package but hey that’s the purpose of the package right! Right now in the scroll shop there is nothing attractive for 60 scrolls and there Should be!!!! You might as well include a legend in the pacakage deal after all it’s a one time offer and a great incentive to lock in a long term player who just bought the lifetime package.

I for one think the bunny is the most attractive legend card to a new player so for this reason I think it could get a lot of people buying lifetime packages and immediately having a few very useful cards to start playing ladder.

Well what do you think? Maybe you can come up with something along these lines that’s even better!
