Guild War Arena Tie-in Suggestion.

Post by HonchKing »

Guild war has been a staple of ECB since it was introduced. However, due to the lack of players and small amounts of points awarded per win the guild war very often feels stale and the place your guild will receive is often decided within the first 8-10 days of the war. Very rarely do guilds ever switch places on the leaderboard and the issue has become so problematic, in my opinion, that it is almost completely pointless to continue to grind honors. So my suggestion to the developers is to add Honors to the Arena rewards. I have come up with two different ways to implement this idea:

Every Arena season system:
1st: 3,000
2nd: 2,000
3rd: 1,000
4th: 500
5th: 100

One Arena season per month system:
1st: 10,000
2nd: 5,000
3rd: 3,000
4th: 1,000
5th: 500

The first system would be a permanent change to the arena rewards and the second system is if the developers decided they want to make this more of a once a month arena only event. I’m not suggesting to implement both, rather to choose one the system developers find more suitable.
The concept behind adding honors to the rewards is that it enables lower placing guilds to have a way to climb higher on the guild war leaderboard as well as forcing higher placing guilds to have to compete in order to keep their place. It also encourages players who do not normally play arena to play arena and does not exclude players with smaller collections like ladder does.
I specifically choose the honor amounts so that they would have impactful effect on the leaderboard without allowing for guilds to climb up too many placements in a single jump. I believe this should create a more interesting guild war experience as guilds will not be able to comfortably sit at any certain spot of the leaderboard.

The suggestion is very good actually. We like it.
We will take note of this suggestion and see if it fits in the future development path.
