Skeleton Archer now totally useless?

Post by gmelchior »

Hi everyone,

did the skeleton archer now get nerved into utter uselessness?
I played this card in Pro Mode quite a lot, but now i cant see how or why i should?

Was he so much overplayed and overpowered in HC? As i rarely play HC i can't tell. I just find i peculiar to downgrade the archer again, now making it basically useless everywhere else but HC?

I'm sure i can live w/o the skeleton, but still would like to understand the reasoning behind it. As said before i used it quite often as i'm not having to many higher cards and the skeleton was often my heavy hitter and weakest link...

also i must say this again: i find it unfair for free players if cards get nerved in which they invested rubbies. they are just not easy to get for us.

It should be 9 seconds instead of 8 for one-hitters like duke vamp.

It should still be 10. I never use it but I agree that nerfing the cooldown to 8 has made him useless. Every card that can kill him in one shot without boosting its attack has a cooldown of 9 or higher. Most of the cards that can do it when boosted also have a cooldown of 9 or higher. This makes his ability useless. Even in hardcore, where I can kill an archer multuple times in the first 8 seconds of round 2 or 3, he is still useless. Its like having a trap card that doesn't deal damage and is simply there to die first.

I think it would be better if he were more like the skeleton king. Give him a % chance to revive the first 1 or 2 times he is destroyed. Or make it a 100% chance to revive once. Something like that. Even then he sucks. There are way better one and two star cards then him.
